On the same day, after the Czech government approved the purchase, the Czech Ministry of Defense signed the purchase contract for the manufacture and delivery of 246 CV90 MkIV infantry fighting vehicles in seven different variants with a total value of 59.7 billion Czech crowns (about 2.49 billion euros) signed. The Czech Ministry of Defense announced this on May 24, 2023. Procurement is being handled as part of government business with Sweden.


The report also states that the Czech defense industry is to receive a stake of around 40 percent in the order. Failure to comply with this obligation would result in sanctions, according to the report.
